Well hello everyone! It's a great place to visit (not on weekends), it's my go to for emptying my mind from all the things that try to drag me down. It's on the mountain of Parnitha, one of the three mountains overlooking Athens. It used to be covered in deep forest but on 2007 there was a huge fire and the result is what you see. Unfortunately the Casino building escaped the fire unscathed. It's that thing that you may be able to see on the next top. In any case, visit Athens and I'll take you there, it's great. You may even get to see deer, Steve was lucky to see some both times we went up there. Steve is a great person, a guy even better than what you can imagine when you read his postings. I hope I'll someday meet more of the great people that comprise this great community!

   Cheers, Fanis

PS: I'm better looking than I appear in that picture....... ;) 8) ::)

Hey Andy I got a new WR200 back in 96 from the Yamaha dealer in Hamilton N.Z.I think it was called Hibrow Motorcycles.it had a blue frame and seat. It wasn't a big seller because it was over priced at $8000. I got mine for $6500 was a good deal.Had it for 2 years awesome bike only reason for selling it was the new WR400 came out,and just had to get one.I found a nice DT200WR pink seat and red forks Jap import model. ;D

Thanks Steve!
thats a great help
I think they were sold new in Oz also?
Dont remember seeing them sold here in NZ tho.
Andy
Hey Andy. They were released in OZ in 1992.(white frame). Gained rego compliance in late 95. for 96 models via Bert Flood Motorcycles. (Blue frame) Sold until 2000 in this guise unchanged. Mine is 2000 model & I?ve never seen or heard of another. Might be the last one. Like the Highlander movie. It?s definitely had some quickening done to it. Cheers Andy.

I found good info here published by Yamaha when researching mine
 http://files.semestergas.se/Yamaha_Model_index_-_1958_-_2008.pdf
Search 4BF which is the WR200 code.  DT200WR (3XP) is a very close relative and I've seen a couple of them in the UK on ebay being sold as WR's.

Nice find...

Watch out for inaccuracies in these lists... eg, The IT175F is listed as a 1978 Model as well as a 1979!

Cheers,

Dave R.
