Jetting
« on: January 13, 2011, 08:50:46 AM »
Hello All:
I just joined the forum as I've recently purchased a 425G - it seems to be in good condition with low hours, considering the year. I'm in the process of cleaning everything up and I have one pressing question / concern:
The carb had a 250 main jet in it!
I've not even attempted to start the bike (been a killer winter here in Indiana so far) and just put a new air filter and Boyeson reeds in.
Any advice on jetting? Sure, I can start at the stock 410 and hope, but if anyone has a proven setup I'd LOVE to hear it!
Thanks in advance.

Welcome aboard,

If you do a search, you may find a discusion on jetting. I think someone brought it up a year or so ago. In the mean time read this a couple of times.

As a welder I can fix anything but a broken heart,  and I have a rod to work on that :) :)

The trick to searching successfully is to go the the main index of the forum http://yamahait.com.au/forum and do your search from there.
