Hello I am new to this great site I can't get over the amount of useful information here and lack of internet idiots, it's a nice change.

I am undertaking a basket case project 81 it 465. The problem is it has no rear wheel or brake hub, what I need to know is what 18" wheels would fit this bike. I was led to believe possibly early tt 600?

Any ideas?

Thanks Andrew.

The 465 originally had a 17" rim, I'm not sure but I think a TT600 wheel will fit.

IT250 wheel will definately fit the IT465 and is a common conversion to get the 18" choice of tyres.

Hi , Yeh the 83-87 TT600 wheel is the same as it 490 so that could also be a option

Thanks sounds like a few options available.

I did look at wheel out of the US but freight is a bit frightening.

Will do a ring around wreckers etc. and try and locate one locally.

Gidday Andrew!! welcome to the forum! I've got a useable 465 17 inch rear if you have trouble finding one.

Cheers!

Hi Andrew . if you were able to get a 17"  you could allways grab a 18" rim (excel) ? or the like ,even choose differant colour  flash  er up a bit ..and lace it up   another option maybe ...

according to boats.net the hub 4V4-25311-00-98 is common on these bikes:

1981 IT465H REAR WHEEL
1981 YZ250H REAR WHEEL
1981 YZ465H REAR WHEEL
1982 IT250J REAR WHEEL
1982 IT465J REAR WHEEL
1982 YZ490J REAR WHEEL
1983 IT250K REAR WHEEL
1983 IT490K REAR WHEEL
1984 IT490L REAR WHEEL

I do know that the chain side spacer is longer on the H/J than the K... and the YZ/G has a different brake plate...

Cheers!!
