Hey guys, I'm new around here! I'm a bit of a bike modification nutter so thought i'd post up a few pics etc of my Ducati, known as Il Mostro de Enduro

I started out with this

which is a basic 2000 model 900cc Ducati Monster. I bought it as a repairable wreck. It has V2 heads and cams and twin Remus "Ducati Performance" exhausts so it goes pretty well....

I've left the engine alone for the moment and concentrated on the frame etc. At the front is a 21" double stamp excel rim and custom hub, 320mm motard disc and Honda Blackbird 3 piston caliper. Forks are 50mm Marzocchi Magnums rebuilt by Paul Rooney. Headstock is modified to give a 27.5 degree rake, Ohlins steering damper and custom triples. Trailtech computer. I've modified the frame by adding strengthening gussets and mounting points for a bash plate and pannier rakes. I've also added a new top rear shock mount. The rear shock is an Ohlins with a heap of adjustmentsn i'm still figuring out  Cheesy Its direct linked to the lengthened standard swingarm. I've added alloy side plates to replace the old Ducati side plates, this adds more strength to the engine mounting and gives me a place to bolt the pegs and side stand etc. Back wheel is a KTM hub and disc with a twin piston Brembo brake. I've moved all the electrics up under the tank and replaced the standard battery with a smaller gel cell.
Things left to do (it never really ends) Modify and lift the front header pipe and fit a bash plate. Add a better (knobby) nfront tyre, thats just there to get rego. Lift the exhausts up out of the way. I'm also currently strengthening the swingarm pivot point so i can enjoy the jumpps without busting the engine cases.

So how does it go? bl__dy hard, but its a bit outa control at the moment with that dodgey front tyre, its spat me off a few times so far whcih is something i can't afford these days as i've had one too many serious stacks on bikes:( It weighs about 190kg so its not the sorta bike that you'll see being tabletopped over the local MX track, its more of a desert sled.

I have other bikes as well
The mighty BMW GS for road work

And my newest acquisition...the b__ch in a box! I got this off ebay, and it does have the original motor, the big block Victa Mowere will not be fitted....this time.....

Hi Old dog
Love the monster, should send the pics to ducati, maybe they could start building them instead of the dog ugly multistrada.
What sort of crazy mods do you have planned for the 490 build up? or are you going to be conservative and leave it the way god meant for it to be.
Cheers
