1980 IT425 intake manifold
« on: March 08, 2010, 01:16:30 PM »
I was in need of a good rubber intake manifold for my 1981 YZ465.  I purchased one off EBAY that was supposed to be for my YZ.  The manifold that I recieved is very nice.  Soft clean rubber with no cracks of any kind.  Then I noticed that it has the serial numbers 3R8 on the manifold.  The manifold is for a 1980 IT525 not a 1981 yz465.

Is there a need for these ?  I have a nice one.

Thanks
Jack

You may compare and trial fit the new one. I think they may be interchangeable. ;D ;D
As a welder I can fix anything but a broken heart,  and I have a rod to work on that :) :)

The angle of the spicot is very different from the YZ465 angle.  Just looking it puts the carb way off from the air box connector.  On the YZ it is a straight shot from the carb to the air box.  This manifold is angled a lot.

Now I am really confused !

   ALOHA and aloha302 ?

Might be interested in the intake manifold depending on price and shipping cost.

SAME PERSON. I screwed up on my user i.d. and ended up with 2 in the system.  Would u.s. postal service be the least expensive ?  It is a small part and could go into a padded envelope.

Thanks
