Technically it's not so much a weld, it's a soldering or brazing alloy....
But I can see that it would definitely have it uses! Thanks Denzo! Kiss

Just make sure you read there advise on welding magnesium.  They say it might fall apart or pop and bubble.

Okay guys, just promise me nobody will cut an YZ450F frame in half and then weld it back with this product in order to make an 2T YZ490AF with that spare IT490 engine...hmmm I´m having some ideas of my own...

I have some of this stuff. Tried to 'weld' engine cases. Couldn't get them hot enough. If you wanna 'weld' anything thicker than a pop can easily you need a hot torch. Not no propane junk. Its not as good as they make it seem.

I definately would not be cutting frames in half and welding it back together with this stuff.

Recipie for disaster.

Motorcycle chopped him in half and his legs went that way and his head went that way.

That stuffs great. I bought a few stix years back and have used it lots on smaller tasks.
I once tried it on something more severe and couldnt get it to stick, but it is a goer... Smiley Smiley

There web site touts close to 60,000 lbs. tensile strength. Will definitely have to try some, but would never use it on structural items. Hmmm, and just when I was getting so good with epoxy...  Grin

I have used some of this stuff on Honda crankcases with good results. It is critical to get the temperture right and remove the oxides with a stainless steel wire brush ( Usually provided in the kit )

He makes it look so easy, when i first gas welded (20 ys ago)alloy it was with the standard alloy rods and for the first 3 or 4 tries i just burnt holes in what i was welding and made the problem worse, the big secret is getting the right temprature.
