4.10x 18 Tyre
« on: April 28, 2019, 03:01:50 PM »
I?ve been looking for a while to find a small tyre for the 175. I had a 100/100x18 Dunlop Geomax. I really like the Geomax tyres but I wanted a less weighty tyre.
I found a 4.10x18 Shinko Golden boy. I?m not sure what they market it as, but the size was right, the price was right, it has a soft compound. So far so good. How quick it wears will be of interest.

That is probably the correct size for the bike.

Most people oversize the rear tyre these days probably because of availability issues.
I use a 120/80x18 on the rear of my IT175D and E, which is just a tinkle bit wider than stock when fitted to the original 1.85 rim.

That width on a 19" rim would be even better!

Cheers,

Dave.
