I dont sell f___ked sh_t.. or rape bikes and pass them on
or even buy parts just to resell for profit.
Id just bin that second piston.
I suppose if your a broken ar_e you just scavenge money any way you can??

I found a nice 425 while I was on vacation in Florida last year. I was gonna buy it and leave it at my parents until I found out that pistons are near unavailable...

The pistons are a bit difficult to find but if you are persistent with your searches, they do show up from time to time. Then pounce, don't delay as someone else will beat you to it!

IT425 has same bore as 1977/78 IT400D/E. What is the difference between the pistons?

It would be interesting to compare the the early IT400 and 425 pistons side by side for reference.

If I could get away from work, I'd visit my engine man as he keeps a spread sheet in which he lists pistons that will interchange between models and bike manufacturers. Sometimes he has to move the ring peg or cut the skirt, but he can usually make something work.
