Ignition advance and power valve curves
« on: December 31, 2018, 08:53:38 PM »
Hi everyone
I?m looking to put a programmable ignition on a wr200 3xp

My question is, does anyone have the standard ignition advance curve, and power valve opening curve ?

Thanks
Andy

The Yamaha ignition was pretty simple (ie the same advance throughout the range ?)

Zeeltronic do a programable ignition, which you can set or use their default settings.
http://zeeltronic.com/page/pcdi-10v.php

The aprilia rs125 using a rotax 125 has the following settings. 2nd post down.
http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/showthread.php?345525-Bogging-from-4500-5700-RPM

The rs125 engine has its ignition retarded from 4,000 to 6,000 rpm (euro detuning) the upper graph.
The zeeltronic avoid all that and lets you choose when the powervalve opens and auxiliary power jet opens.

pjme uk sells lots of tzr125 parts which may also fit your engine
http://www.pjme.co.uk/acatalog/Yamaha_TZR125_.html

there is an italian tzr site http://125stradali.com/yamaha-125-stradali/
in italian (they love their 125s should be the same engine ?)
