Mini update.

The rear fender on the 100 is shot. half of it was rusted off and someone riveted a plastic fender to it, ultimately making it a 3-piece concoction.

I once again went onto the classifieds, being so sure that I wouldn't even find anything...

HUZZAH! A DT100 fender in amazing condition, basically new. Problem? It's yellow haha!

So I paid $90 CAD for it, my friend said I'm spending too much money and my girlfriend said "man bike parts are expensive" but I ain't gonna let em bring me down!! hahaha. I think I got a decent deal, could've been better, but compared to the 250$ NOS fenders on eBay this is a steal.

Need to powdercoat it red now. The OEM paint is actually quite thin and Yamaha did a terrible job painting the darn thing, but I guess when it's going on a farm bike who cares right.

are ya TRYING to make me cry? :P

but in all seriousness, I checked Bike Bandit and Partzilla first and it showed the P/N as no longer available. Usually that's a good gauge for whether Yamaha can order it in or not. I'm gonna call my local dealer and see if they can overnight from Japan. Would be cool to get a fender in sunshine red instead...then I'd have to sell this one. I honestly thought this was my only real good option

The P/N for the sunshine red one is 1T9-21611-00-66

Bit of an update video, no real progress done on the DT100, but some revelations about parts compatibility. The clutch basket on the RT100 is cracked, and the case on the DT100 is cracked. Luckily enough the DT100 clutch basket is the same part number as the RT100. Woohoo!
