What are the rules, as in what year bike and mods allowed.

I expect it explains it in this document somewhere: http://www.amca.uk.com/images/downloads-general/Classic_Rule_Book_2014.pdf

However, the events are pretty laid back but you do see some interesting bikes !

Twinshocks or Yamaha Monocross. No linkages. No disc conversions. No usd forks. Water cooling seems ok, as does reversing the engine of your ultra short stroke triumph, mating it to a modern KTM gearbox and putting it a Maico style frame !

Converted Pro-Link H**da XR's seem to be on the rise and the odd CR480 shows up now and again.

Someone must have imported a load of Suzuki RM250's and RM400's recently, they are turning the races yellow !

You should give it a go sometime !

Cheers,

Dave.

Actually this was the first time I've raced on soft and sandy soil.

It sapped the power from the little YZ and I had a bit of detonation despite running some pretty good fuel and octane booster.

Cheers,

Dave.

Thanks for posting Dave, it was a cracking meeting, I haven?t enjoyed the racing so much since Chelborough! I even got a 4th and 5th in the pre 74 under 250, ..... Note to self don?t stand up on the Montesa, it looks more ridiculous than me sitting on it!

Mark letting his lovely Maico have a lie down on the nice soft berm!
