DT125R difference to DT200R?
« on: September 03, 2018, 06:04:06 PM »
It?s time to get a 125 for older son, and a DT125R is high on the list.
Now as I had a 125 I would have love a DT125R but was new then so out of reach.
Son will sure use a 125 for just 2 years. Now I have wounder how difficult it is to convert a early DT125R to a DT200R?
The DT200WR was sold a few years where I live, but just looking on pictures the engine looks diffrerent, clutch operates fron clutch cover....The older DT200R?s look more simalar.
Reason it I have started to think of trading my 1988 Suzuki TS250X (that is a disaster to get any parts for) for a DT125R....
then after a few years convert it to a 200...
Pics of a contender....

Forks(inners and caps), rims, Swingarm, Linkage, rear shock + frame mount for its bottle, Radiators, you wont be able to use oil distributor after installing 3ET radiators, Crank cases, clutch basket, crankshaft, cylinder, head, power valve roller, carburetor, CDI, magneto wheel, downpipe, I dont know if the transmission is different. I think thats all mechanically, you dont have to change all of them.
