I rode a friends RD 350 loaner once, he worked at the shop, I thought I would just crack the throttle in first before I got off and the road was wet. Needless to say the back end was up alongside me in a fraction of a second and I gave it back shaking like a leaf on a tree.

I understand what made them beat 750s on winding roads was the handling though, same geometry as the team bikes. There is a great article out there somewhere saying they were dirty, foul mouthed machines that sounded like a weed whacker on benzene  ;D
