1978 YZ250 shift shaft
« on: July 28, 2018, 10:02:38 PM »
I put a new clutch basket in and didn't pay any attention to the shift shaft.    It always shifted in all the gears before! When I got it back together it would only shift into 1st and neutral. Took it back apart and the shift shaft was off two teeth. Lined everything back up and the same only first and neutral. How do you set the cam for shifting the gears  I can find anything that says how to set it only how the shift shaft goes. Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

From memory, on the IT, there is a dot on the sector gears. This needs to be lined up.
