So it could be that your bike has the 3XP part in the linkage or has been changed with one such. Just a guess, but it could help. I'll try and get some pictures from my bikes as I really don't remember what was there. Can't be sure when I'll do that though......

Seems like any kind of retainer with an internal thread is called a NUT in Yamaha world.  I'm going to try and draw the swing arm pivot also, because I think something is wrong/different there too.

So this is main pivot,

Red = frame
Black = motor case
grey = swing arm
Purple = bolt

Everything fits snug, but there is a gap on the pivot bolt between the motor case and the swing arm.  No big deal, as it fits tight and swings properly, but the bearing seal on the swing arm isn't pressed against anything.  I've, if I pump grease into the bearing (there's a nipple). It'll just push the seal out.  Even if there wasn't a greasing point the seal still wouldn't be held in place.  I made a spacer to fit in there just to stop the seal wandering out.

In the 2nd pic. exploded parts diagram from page one, this would be bolt part#25 and seal part#5 on the right side, when viewed fro the back of the bike.

Ps. Above picture drawn by a 6year old...  who rides a Kawasaki...

   It's the same throughout the DT200WR production run, no difference in 1991 to 1994. But 3SP, I really don't know, haven't heard of before. I'll check the gap you mention on the engine case and swing arm. Sorry I can't be of more help!

There are some differences, they don't really have any influence here or there.   3SP is YZ250.
