Yatton Keynell. Sunday 27th May 2018.
« on: May 28, 2018, 04:00:50 AM »
Originally cancelled back in April due to really bad weather, this meeting was held during some bad weather !

In practice, we had a major thunderstorm which dampened up the track somewhat. Flooded would be a better term.

In race one, I got a good start but couldn't complete a lap and in race two I got a bad start and didn't complete a full lap. Race three, I sat on the trailer and had a cup of tea !

The main difference between the first two races is that Wayne had my Dad's camera and managed to get my 'On track rapid dismount' on film !

Not many photos, but I think you will get the general idea of the conditions out there.

Cowering in the car during a thunderstorm :

Dave signalling to Wayne that he plans to fall off on the second hill for forum entertainment purposes :

Cheers,

Dave R.

Not on camera is when my Dad's Apprentice (Circa 1973), Terry Doman, runs up the hill to help me get the bike off the track before the marauding hoards on their second lap mow me down without mercy !

Pete tries to fall off so Dave doesn't feel so bad about life.... Then decides to save it at the last minute !

Cheers,

Dave R.

Martin tries to break his rather nice 350 Maico.

But decides to wait until he is off camera before he lets another rider crash into him and badly damage his exhaust.

Now, this guy has the right idea. Pile on the weight and feel the grip !

This is a new idea here in the UK. You start half the race in one direction and the other half go the other way:

More of Wayne's finest at the bottom of this page:  http://daveriley.weebly.com/yatton-keynell.html

Good to see Mark (samarklyn) helping out on the start gate. Hopefully the Maico will be together and working soon.

Also good to talk to Mike Newbury, Terry Doman and all the other fine chaps who take the trouble to gossip and put the World to rights !

Cheers,

Dave.

the bike sounds good though.

Pete's IT250J runs quite crisply with the Dynotronix CDI fitted. Also, we copied Wayne's jetting spec which helped the bike produce a tinkle more power.

Cheers,

Dave.

😂😂😂
You're heading that way already.
Factory jets, lift the needle 1 clip to compensate for the DG exhaust and 32:1 fully synthetic oil in 98 octane fuel.
Bill's Dynotronix magic box.
