IT200N front brake issue
« on: February 21, 2018, 07:53:14 AM »
Seems like the owner prior to me cut the bars down shorter and now the front brake cable is kind of bound up and won't return properly.  Does anyone know if there is a cable from another model or year that might be an inch or 2 shorter?  The bars end to end on the N are 29" and on my S they are 32".

ALSO, please someone help me find an air filter basket, element guide or whatever you want to call it!!!   I feel I'm going to hurt the motor running it without...

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike

I would change the bars to a standard width.

Also I’ve been looking at this listing for a while but haven’t done anything about buying these parts as I don’t need a third air box. There is a filter cage you are looking for.

Wayne, read the topic from the top....

I was just doing my moderator bit and embellishing Julia's post by adding the photo for the crew to see.

The parts are for sale in NZ, not in damp and cold UK !

That aside, they are still useful parts to have.

Cheers,

Dave R.

Well gents, I am in the US and that site won't let me sign up so as much as I'd like to get my hands on the filter cage...looks like that one is out of reach!

Thanks and I'll still keep searching!

Cheers!

Well I really only need the filter cage and I doubt that he would sell that separate...but I can't see paying $90 plus shipping when I really only need the one item.  I could probably put the chain guard to use as well but that still doesn't make it worthwhile.

I really appreciate you asking though, that's very nice.  I'm sure one will come up on ebay, just hope it's soon!

Best regards,

Mike
