The venue is Wickwar in South Gloucs (Cotswolds area of natural beauty)

Will post more details as and when.

Well, I don't know much about the UK and the chance of me attending dwindles by the day, but isn't there a possibility of camping at a specific place and riding on a green lane network that motorcycles are allowed? I mean, I personally find the idea of free riding very attractive, and that's what me and my mates are doing when/if we get a chance of a bike meet/gathering. I know there are severe limitations in off-road ridding in the UK, but I have also read on advrider.com of a huge network of green lanes where bikes are not prohibited. Isn't such an idea appealing?

   Cheers, Fanis

Hi Fanis, you’re right, we have some cracking green lanes around where I live, and there’s free camping at my gaf! Trouble is I’m not very central being in the SW. the other issue is that the lanes are actually legal roads, so the bikes have to be taxed tested and insured etc.

Date not confirmed yet, as soon as I know, you will.
We're still welcome.
Your accommodation and bike is sorted Fanis, keep the faith 😁😁
Green laning would be good, but road legal bikes are a faf...
Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon.

Any news on this plan lads? If I had any bikes running I'd suggest you come over here, Greece is bound to be better in the Summer than UK! Unfortunately even the mighty WR426F is now in need of a rebuild!

Good morning Fanis !

Thanks for reviving this topic.

As the year has moved on, the IT meet has dropped down the priority list somewhat.

It is still possible that a venue and date for a gathering might appear at some point. We'll have to see. These things happen when they happen !
If and when it happens, you can be sure that you are invited. International guest of honour !

Myself, Pete, Wayne, Dan, Mark and a few other IT fans will be meeting-up at a few twinshock scramble events over the late spring and summer....... If it ever stops raining !

And yes, Greece sounds far better than the UK for summer weather......However, I'm a cave dweller. My appreciation of the sun extends to viewing it from the safety of a sun shade with a cooling and nutritious beer in my hand !

Cheers,

Dave R.

Fanis
Are you coming this way at all in the summer? If you are well arrange something for sure. I only managed a weekend in Corfu last year so only time for family ...... maybe later this year.

Hi Dan! No, I'm not flying over either way! I just think that if you arrange a meeting, it would be nice to meet you guys! There are flights for less than 200euros, so I believe I can arrange to be there provided I have some time to prepare and make ends meet! It doesn't have to be summer of course, I guess it all depends on you guys. And my being there cannot be guaranteed, I'm just wondering!

   Cheers, Fanis

PS: It's easier and most probably cheaper for me to fly to london and travel by bus/train to any part of the uk than travel to corfu from athens  :D
