I think you will find a rack that size has too much side to side flex, especially with a load. When the seat is off maybe you could add steel tubes to your DTs frame that the seat clears - straight out the back with welded on side braces to your attaching holes.
With a strong base you can then go bigger with your top and join across the two tubes in back but you can find some inexpensive steel baskets that make a good top that isn't so heavy also.
