IT125 Piston
« on: May 01, 2017, 12:35:04 AM »
I removed the top end of an IT125 Im rebuilding..  the piston O.D  measure 2.216"  the piston is made by ART .. on the top of the piston there is a 50 stamped on it..  would that be a .50mm oversize?

ART = Genuine Yamaha cast piston.
50 = .50mm Oversize.

Please post-up some photos of your rebuild project !

Cheers.

Thanks for your reply,  I figured it was .50mm over after I mic'd it since the stock bore is supoosed to be 2.20"

 The bike is kinda rough..  I have lots to do thats for sure..

This is what Im working with..  The bike was put away 10 years ago and never started since..  the rings seized to the bore..  crank bearings and seals  need replacing etc..

Heres another 125G im stripping down for parts for the bike im rebuilding and to have some spare engine parts for my 1977 175D.
