Well the PE I posted here + my 1987 Suzuki TS250X are gone, tradet them for a nice American 1981 IT465!

OK, time for an update.
Been working a bit now as then on the 200, and actually got it together!




Now yesterday evening I tried to start it first time after rebuild. did start 3rd kick, did run for 5 seconds and died, did not come alive, well for a few secons but still just running porly on low rpm even I had throttle fully open. Started backfire. Didi take plug off, soaking wet. So let it sat ower night and started test things. First ignition, and was way off, flywheel off and then came to this:


So probarly main reason then.....

The old 2 piece woodruff key in the flywheel on the IT200 trick. I've fallen for that a few times myself.

yep ..same here, also it can effect other bikes if there in the same area, like the IT175G

I actually check and lap the flywheel to make sure it isnt going to do this. Easy enough to do, given the taper is what holds the flywheel and the key only locates it.

First real ride done today, bike did run great, just some fine tune needed, runs a bit rich in low range and hestigate as throttle opens, probarly just air scruve adjustment needed. Need to adjust rear brake pedal also lower.
