yz 125 1974 question
« on: January 23, 2017, 01:51:17 AM »
hi
i bought a yamaha yz 125 from 1974 and have a few questions about the rear arm
they fitted the frame with a another rear arm
did they do it for better suspension ?
does anyone also  know if an engine off a dt 125 fit the frame ?

thanks

Never seen anything like that before. Looks like a twinshock frame with a monoshock arm.
Shed modification using the original shocks.
I like it.
May be some geometry issues, perhaps that's why one shock is bent.
Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon.

GRIP AND RIP CRAIG AND CHRISSO!!!

Never seen anything like that on a YZ or MX, but have a look at a Vincent Black shadow!

Have a look on partzilla .... no frames from 74/75 I can see look like that, nor any swing arms ... Looks like the original fittings were for normal twinshock arrangement. As for the Dt engine check from the partzilla parts list if they used the same cases?
