Just had my first VMX ride for the season with the new CDI and it was a good one.
The Auckland classic scramble ride out at Mangatawhiri put on a brilliant day.
The new CDI definitely gave the IT465 more go with an extended rip up top that it hasn't had for while.
Found myself arriving at corners with way more speed on and shot through a couple of them until I adjusted up the brakes.
Thanks again for your great work.

Mike

Thanks for the update, Mike.  I try to put as much magic as I can into each CDI. :D

Best regards,

Bill

Hi Guys,

I'm making an offer on a few 3R5 CDIs to everyone on the forum.  These CDIs have some manufacturing blemishes, mainly due to me screwing up during the potting process.  From an electrical perspective these are fully functional units, but I can't sell them as first quality.  In some cases the potting oozed out between the wires, and others down the side of the box.  I tried to clean these units up the best I can, but they are not my usual quality.

If anyone is interested, I'll sell these CDIs for $75.00 USD each, which is $70 off the regular price.  If you're interested, just shoot me a PM, I have 4 or 5 of these available.  If you want, I can send photos so you can see what you'll be getting.  I'm probably making this sound worse than it is, so you'll have to see for yourselves.

In the near future I'll be making a newer version of this CDI, using the same box as I use on the 23X, 1W4 and 2X6 CDIs.  This version will be electrically the same, just different in appearance.  Using the alternate box will eliminate some of the potting issues I have, since I won't have to install the wires through a grommet out the side of the box.  Sealing those wires, so the potting doesn't leak out, is a real pain.

Best regards,

Bill
