Auto-lube throttle cables
« on: July 19, 2016, 06:01:46 PM »
This may be of some use.

Have seen a few threads on here about procuring NLA throttle cables (or parts thereof) for DT's and other auto-lubed Yammy engines. I also restore Suzuki's and they have the lengths of the cables (including wire, sheaths and adjusters etc) as part of their parts description....which makes it real handy to get other model "available" cables that are close enough to use (with the use of the adjusters). This applies to other cables too.

I haven't seen Yamaha parts lists with these lengths given. Yet.

Cheers,
Chris.

 :D :D :D :D

That 'lil GT80G has a bicycle cable for the front brake...which is about 1m too long.....it does not work in the slightest going forward, but does a fantastic job going backwards.

Should be patented, not just recommended Leslie!  ;D

Mine don't have flames painted on the tank (it's brushed black)....but it does have rust holes, so the juice bottle and zipties is an option.
