Need some info/advice for YZ100K.
« on: April 04, 2016, 04:39:28 AM »
Hey everyone. I'm in the process of fixing up a 83 yz100 for a young neighbour, and parts for this thing seem extremely hard to find. I'm looking for a 3rd oversize, 50.75mm piston. I see wiseco sells 51mm. The kid is on a tight budget so we don't want to bore it out, I'd rather grab a piston and rings and call it a day. Yamaha made 3rd oversize Pistons, anyone know where to find one? Or maybe another model that can be used maybe with slight modifications?

Regards,

Jarrett

Nice. Thanks man. Did you use the part number to search?  I couldn't find anything.
The starting bid looks like a good price, but I'm afraid what it will go up too. There is a "buy it now" one  going for $200.

Thanks again.

Oh, and for info the Yamaha RXS100 used a 50mm x 50mm bore and stroke.

I've no idea if the piston is suitable but it's worth further investigation as they seem relatively cheap.

Cheers,

Dave R.

Hmm, interesting. Now I can read up on piston differences and interchangability.

Appreciate it.
