I like the drinking straws on the spokes. Lot of attention to detail there.

Hey mate they are a YZ 250 all parts off a 97 YZ250 will fit they had adr parts bolted to them from Yamaha.
Yes some clown has welded the footpegs to the swing arm would be horrible on anything but bitumen for the passenger.
It would be a rocket over the DRZ!

That is a pretty clean looking YZ :) and Most YZ parts should be available. I would like to know where it got its lighting coil from as here in the USA YZ's don't have lights at all. :( Glad to here it rips as that has to be a power upgrade from the Suzi 4T.

As for the welded on foot pegs I personally would grind them off and then file it smooth. I would take the swing arm off to do it so I could repack the swing arm & linkage bearings with grease.

Well frigg me ITdog, you've hit a home run there!

As 1magerman has mentioned, an ADR bullet! Looks like you've scored a WR250ZJ/K BFM... a seriously rare piece of kit!

Most likely the PO put those aftermarket yz stickers on it to stick it up society whilst hooning down the streets  :P

Picked it soon as I spottoed the compliance plate and... is the stand on the swingarm?. Plenty of threads on them here, ergos and plastics from 96-01 YZ, engine from 95-97 YZ, wide ratio box ... Score!

*not hard to work out who got the better deal!*  ;)

Cheers
Andrew

can't see the pics as I'm at work......Bloomin' IT Nazis  ;D, but here's a link to the thread where I restored mine

Great bike, as you've been told engine bits same as YZ from 96-98 apart from G/box obviously, have a spare swingarm with the sidestand mounts(but no sidestand) if you need one, postage from UK may be interesting tho  :-\
