Yep, very disconcerting when that adjuster nut undoes itself...happened on my 465 in among the trees. I'm thinking a reed spacer is needed for the YZ cage.

Your lad looks a pro, has the kick and fold lever motion down pat.  8) 8)

Bike sounds sweet, great vids.

2fITy.J,I was thinking of the spacer but I can't move the carb back the air filter duct work is just touching the coil spring now.

Oh yeah...of course, it's hybridised...  ::)

Well it sounds to be running well and good now anyway.

Cheers,
Chris.

Bill stopped by today with the brand new 2015 iT 250H & J CDI all brand new components, this CDI could be in any iT250 engine just use the duel coil stator for the timing advance circuit.

Great to see all your hard work come to fruition.
I saw a guy on a FB page the other day get quoted $750 Aus for a genuine Yamaha It 250 CDI Nos.

old components don't age like fine wine? 750 for a CDI that could give out amazing prices. I have been thinking of reverse engineering some of these older CDIs there not especially complex but still most likely at the edge of my skills there not going to be making any more and the most places that sell aftermarket ones are taking the p_ss or of dubious quality :(

Bill stopped by today with the brand new 2015 iT 250H & J CDI all brand new components, this CDI could be in any iT250 engine just use the duel coil stator for the timing advance circuit.

That is a really nice very professional job of excellent quality I bet it lasts longer than the original OEM CDI. Neat tidy and nice soldering work almost looks machine done. Bill sure has some skills.
You threw it out i picked it up and fixed it.

I'll find out the price on the new CDI Bill mentioned this model CDI is not reproduced & I'm sure they will be well below $750.00!

Good luck with that map 351 you might just be onto a nice little niche market there. :)
That board looks amazing.Very professional.
I have a mate who part runs a small electronics manufacturing/assembly factory in Sydney if you need to pump out a few boards!
