« on: January 25, 2015, 08:46:42 PM »
Thought I would add a couple of pics of my 76 GT80C in chappy red ..
bought it and a 1980 MX80 a while ago
Its so handy to race down to the mailbox and pick up the mail which is 250 or so meters away . much more fun than walking!!

forgot to add  I received a spare frame /engine for free...
I intend to rip apart the GT and ride the MX while it is out of action.
Just want to paint the frame and that's about it ..keeping it as is apart from  a new seat cover  ..
Will be on the look out for a headlight front mudguard as well..

Front mudguard is hard to get you can get the mx80 type easy the gt80 had bugger all clearance on the front guard from the tyre my mate broke his not long after the bike was new it filled with mud then dove into the tyre.

I have a white mx80 like yours too they are bullet proof little bikes great fun.

My gt80a stays at my mates the original owners lounge room.

Good stuff mate.....I have fond memories when these jiggers first hit the tracks. Amazed my two mates got around on one all day through thick and thin, from the state highways to the virgin bush along the Murray.

Don't mind the fun a mini can give ya'.

Cheers,
Chris.

hi frosty ..
any chance of a close up of the speedo please?
I am off to the ballarat swap meet next week and will be on the lookout for a speedo and headlight
I have a parts book for the 76 C and it seems they could be mph or in km/h

Sorry for the late reply the 73 had mph and all the others had km except for America and others would be different for obvious reasons.
