Far be it for me to proclaim the merits of DC Plastics, but........

They have an air filter cage available on their eBay site :

Oi!

I'm not sure if that ebay one will fit but it looks right, but caution ... I bought some YZ250 F cages on ebay because they looked the same as my 250D but they weren't, they were for the filter with a hole in it.   But so long as the filter part number matches it should be ok tho - Partzilla is confusing, it says 1W4 fits the 250 and 400, but the 2K7 only fits the 250? I think it will fit both and it is the filter with a small hole in it that wont fit the 77 and 78 YZs.

This is the one that wont fit a 77/78 YZ

This was mine when I bought it!

Nah it was a bottom of the garden find in Newton abbot from a mate of Kerry's, I paid £200 for it, and then another £1500 or so incl Wheel rebuilds, tyres, powder coating and bearings (I did the engine except the crank).  The IT 400 came from DK, not that air filter was much better but the engine was!
