Who knows, might be the last ones out there.

I doubt it.

I took my red lens of as it didn't have the small clear window, I then mounted at TY style light onto a black plastic plate with two holes in it that pick up on the original holes. I then used a smaller screw that passed through the original brass nuts in mudguard and secured with a stiff nut.

If they are going for that much money these items could well be my retirement fund oneday.

It wasn't that long ago that the taillight lens was still available from Yamaha for about $60. KP  ;D

Life's no fun without a bike.

H and J guards (fender) are exactly the same apart from the fixed metal bracket within the taillight section. Not sure which is which or if it is defined by country, but they both fit your guard pictured. The XR5A that I get fits straight over the guards little raised lip. That lens you have pictured looks in between the right size and the more square K and L models.

This is the light I use on my 250J.....

With rubber dampener included....

Cheers,
Chris.
I think I found the lens that Chris refers to on EBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Taillight-Replay-Honda-Motorcycle-650-XR-YM-2254-tail-light-enduro-red-NEW/352374261124?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

It has same dimensions as the hole in the fender (at least on the DC plastic one) 120mm length and 60mm width.
I did order one so I guess I can comfirm this quit soon for you all.

OK, its almost there, just 4 M4 bolts missing to complet the jobb.
Ended up just using the lens, did grind down the edge that go into the rubber seal, bore the for fastner holes thro whit a 4 mm drill (there I need the 4 bolts, ok nuts to) to bolt the lens thro the fender. will use sealant (white silicone) to seal the old holse in the fender and to sela betwen lens a s fender as the DC fender surface is not straight.

I would Deffo use Brass or SS M4 bolts & nuts ( with washers) to replace the tie-wraps as the under side is gonna get some abuse!

Years ago, when I notices my tail light lens had a crack in it, I ordered up a new one for my 465 and for the '82 IT 175.  They were like $19.00.  Both are still in the bags and stored away
