I haven't got one from Extreme YZ but his body work is very nice and he has the tanks. They may be made by Clarke tanks but not 100% sure

Thanks chris. i just realised i posted in the 465 section. Oh well same thing. I have looked at a couple of pics of a yellow tank on a few different sites, one was justgastanks. I think the tank was a clarke but the tank just doesnt look right.

I believe Clarke and Maier are the only two that make repro tanks for 250h's.  Of those, I would definitely want the Maier, which I think is what X-treme YZ has.  You might check out AMS Racing, also.

Scott,

Drop Scott a line, he may ship if you ask him, he is a good bloke, just keep in mind he is a small shop helping keep our vintage steeds on the trail or track. Now that I think about it I think the tanks are made by Maier as Stanc said

Cheers, Chris

Hello everyone, well i am needing a favour,i have searched extreme yz,i have tried to send scott a message but it doesnt seem to go through. It looks like he will send to australia, but i really wanted to know who makes the tank and plastics before i buy them. I also tried ringing him and it goes to a lady saying dirt cheap of roads or something like that. ??? Is there someone in the states that could ring him for me,i would really appreciate it. I just want the manufacturer of the yz250h plastics and tank and a definate he will send to aus. The number on his site is 7192001582. Hope someone can help.

Hi everyone. Well after a very long wait,i received my yz250h plastic kit from scott sears(extreme yz) in the usa. He threw in a uni filter and went me halves in the postage for my wait. All in all a very nice kit. The front and rear guard and side covers are very professional. The front plate is plain and needs mounts made and all the plastics need to be drilled but very happy. I will post up some pics soon as i can.

cheers scott.

Yes nice stuff and worth the wait! I got everything except the tank. I see the front plate is the same as mine, I used a alloy L braktet a the bottom riveted to the plate and a screw and a spacer at the top. Is the tank finish similar to the front number plate? I fount the number plate  to be similar to the DC Plastics finish.

Cheers, Chris

Hi everyone,Yep the tank is definately the same as the front plate. Im not too worried about the front plate as most of it is covered in a black oval. And i think the tank will polish up a little more.  :D It is a yz i guess and not a harley. ;) Hey rosey how did you go with those pics of that bike that was for sale?

cheers scott

Hi everyone,i am restoring the rear wheel on my 250h, and was on the lookout for a few spokes as i broke one pulling the wheel apart and stripped another. They are both on the sprocket side. Anyway i am giving the old electro zincing thing a go. ::) Also need a few nipples as well and some of the other spokes are pretty horrible,as some are too far gone. ::) If anyone has re-laced a wheel and has an old set that they can part with a few spokes, please let me know. And jock---you can move this thread to the 250 section if you like.

cheers scott.
