Thanks G, it came out good, also I didn't know the front indicators came out of the headlight shell - bonus detail :)

hi, have you googled 'yamaha DT2,then click on images, a shitload of pics,various blinker setups and more colour    g.

That's pretty much what the link I posted is....

Clicking the image will bring up the hosting page for the image and is invariably a forum/blog site when bikes are concerned.

I found after looking closely at those search results that they weren't always DT2.
Any way I think this all confirms that I have some original paint on the H/L shell so I'll match that and be satisfied.

thanks 2fity.j , learn something every day. had the computer skills to post pics for a week now,I feel so clever. a direct wireless tower went up
nearby couple months ago,(had satellite connect,couldnt load youtube,slow and &#@^ed), new world for me and endless bike stuff to see.

Just remember Don't that Yamaha had lots of variations in their colours the shades between euro and us markets or Canadian and Aust models . Iain

the DT250A colour was 'virginia gold',also did Blue dust.  i will scan the dt2 brochure this evening and post here, may help.   g

My Old man had the 72 DT250A Id say the colour must have been the "Blue Dust" a light blue silvery colour twas my first full size bike that I rode.
