Thats a Very nice Find!! I like reading about older IT's and YZ's and makes me want to buy more.

yeah I goof off on reading old tests etc,also have a bad habit of scouring out of the way 2nd hand bookshops for old dirtbike mags ;D

Great read - didnt know that the DT reeds fitted but the comment that they break is a little alarming!

I haven't looked into it but thought the DT reed block with Boyesens might be the go,actually I just googled it!,boyesens power reeds #663 and plenty of reed valves on Ebay 77-78 are eight petal,the earlier ones are six petal
