PW50 handlebar risers?
« on: June 07, 2013, 02:02:16 PM »
Anybody ever made up handlebar risers for the PW50? Or know an Australian source that sells them? The PW50 bars are a one piece unit that bolts straight on, so traditional methods won't work.

I've seen these for sale from US sellers but with postage it isn't worth it.

Any ideas anyone?

Geia sou Tex, can you post a photo of the handlebar and its positioning? Maybe we can create something!

Here are some risers from a US site:

Standard PW50 handlebars are a one piece unit, like this:

Here's a PW50 in the US with raised bars:

The pic above is the result I'm after. Any ideas or experience anyone.

They look easy enough to make. Bit of 25mm RHS with a nut welded in one end and a bolt welded in the other. Paint plate or powder coat them and there you go. And completely adjustable at the start by cutting RHS to the correct length.

Show us your nuts. Erm, on the bottom of the top triple. Can be too hard to tap a bit of bar and bang in a stud on the new bottom end. Screw it onto the original bar and put the original nuts onto the new stud at the  bottom.
