Yamaha DT125 in action, France, 2011
« on: April 21, 2012, 06:41:33 PM »
These pics were taken at an 'Enduro Historique at Auroux, France in July 2011. This DT125 is quite similar to mine, but I'd say this one is a 1976 model while mines a 1977 edition and there are a few minor differences.

Very nice little bike Tex. Is yours in a similarly good condition?

Hey chris, quit showing off and admit you're getting the phrases through a translation page, will you? ;D ;D ;D

Ohi, toso kelo.  ;)

I would like to get mine looking a little more like that one. I especially like the rear mudguard / number board combination. I want to make up something like that for mine. Here's mine:

Then to les kako! (you can't call it bad) ;) ;D

It is a good unrestored bike! I really like the green one's front mudguard as well! So Tex what are your plans with it? Are you planning to restore it, rebuild it, or just ride it? I'd go for a full dismantling and then rebiulding, using varius parts, (meaning not completely original), trying to keep the resulting bike recognisable as a late 70's DT!

   Cheers, Fanis

PS: What's your connection to Greece? It's the second time you used Greek words? Curious to know, I am!

Just ride it. I've fixed a few things on it, and it just needs a few more things to make it 100% rideable. I have some different guards I will put on it, and I want to make up numberboads like the green one has. I will look into upgrading the suspension, getting the lights working, and getting the oil injection functioning again a little later.

There are many people of Greek descent in Melbourne, and I married one of them!

Sounds great Tex. Keep us updated with pics of the changes you make on the bike! I think it can come up pretty nice! And having an operating oil injection, and lights that work definitely makes the bike more complete!
